Does someone hear a dragon?

Our lawyers are working with parents right now to help with special education issues and school closures. Because we can’t visit a person right now, we wanted to reach out and another way to do something fun and creative.

We wanted to share a very fun and silly story called dragons love tacos. Did you know the dragons love tacos, but something crazy happens when dragons eats spicy food Do you want to find out what it is?

Welcome back. Now we’re going to make a fire breathing dragon craft. To make the craft, you will need:

an empty toilet paper tube.
Some glue,
scissors,
green construction paper, if you have it. Or you can use markers or paint.

If you don’t have tissue paper at home, you can get a piece of a paper towel and color it red and orange. Some markers and a white piece of printer paper.

The first thing we’re going to do is take our tube and cover it in green paper. You don’t have free paper, you can paint it green. You can color it with green marker. Or if you have other colored construction paper at home, you can make your dragon any color. Next we’re going to put the glue onto the green construction paper.

Okay And roll it up. You might need a little extra glue on the end to seal it. Okay.

Now if you want to add scales to your dragon, with your marker, this is a good time to do it. The next thing we’re going to do is add eyes to add the eyes. You can draw them on with marker or you can draw them on the white piece of paper and we’ll cut them out and glue them right onto the tube. Add some glue.

Next, we’re going to make the best part – the fire for the fire breathing dragon. If you’re using a paper towel, we’re just going to cut it inhalf and make strips. If you’re using tissue paper,

you’re going to do the same thing and just make up tissue paper. I’m going to use orange

and I’m going to add red.
The next step is to take your glue and we’re going to add glue to the inside part of the tube. Then we’re going to take the strips and just secure them right in there. If they’re a little long, don’t worry, we can trim them at the end. You want to put the glue all the way around the circle.

Now he looks like he eats spicy food and he’s breathing that fire from the tacos from the spicy tacos. Once you have them all, all around the circle, your fire breathingdragon is done.

 Now you just have to make him breathe the fire. He must not like that spicy food. Now you can go back and read the story and when the dragons eat the spicy tacos, you can make your dragon blow fire with the characters of the story.
